Many first ask about how I have come to find flowers to be my passion and love.
When they learn that I actually had 25+ years in the corporate world prior to flowers, they ask about how I was able to make the transition.
It is not unusal that the this topic lasts the whole session.
Actually, my journey can be summarized into three steps.
FInding the thing through excavating your mind.
And then empowering yourself and enabling your schedule so that you can consistently take actions to move forward towards your goal.
Lastly, exploring and experimenting so that you can grow it into something - your art form, your side hustle or your ambitious new business.

I am Sujin, a Korean florist in the Netherlands
I grow flowers in my garden, experimenting new types of plants every year. I have come to cherish the naturalistic approach to flower arrangement mainly because I love gardening as much as floral design. With the flowers I grow, I create pre-ordered bouquets and host flower workshops here in Heemstede, Netherlands.
I came to the Netherlands as an corporate expat in 2013 but only discovered the wonders of Dutch flowers in 2020. Now, I tell everyone, especially new expats that while in the Netherlands, you should aggressively explore Dutch flowers and floral activities, not to mention the huge benefits of gardening. Life in the Netherlands will start to feel more fun, wholesome and memorable before you know it.
In 2025, we are introducing Dutch Flower Experiences where I combine Dutch flower tours ie. Aalsmeer Flower Auction with flower workshops and offer Korean culinary experience from my kitchen. Another great adventure for me, but also very close to the well-being approach that I fully believe in and want to share.
I am so excited that I get to share the life of balance that I found here in my garden as well as a part of Korean culture with you. Come and experience what it’s like to live as a Korean florist in the Netherlands who is still obsessive about Korean culinary tradition. It will be an experience to satisfy all of your senses!
